Ah forgot to mention... I ran into a entire school of BIG Stripers out there Friday. Like 10-30 pounders. +/- 20 of them. Odd place. Odd scenerio, etc. Wasn't looking for Stripers that is for sure. I had made a cast into some rocky shallows with a squarebill and on the way back to the boat it got into deeper water. As I am watching it come back a fish is following/chasing my squarebill. I was what in the heck is that carp doing. They run from anything in the water then it took a swipe at it and just bumbed it (I had a hook in him for 2-3 seconds before it pulled out) and turned. That is when I realized it was a HUGE Striper not a Carp. We stayed in the area looking around for a bit and shortly there after I see the big school of 'em but I couldn't get them to go for anything I had laying on deck. I also seen the single several other times that had hit my squarebill but again not interested in anything else I had tied on at the time. Would of been a hoot... Oh well.
