I went fishing out of Cottonwood Cove last week for the first time. I'm not really sure where or how to fish there (or anywhere for that matter [
] ), but I managed to catch a 5 1/2 lb stripper trolling a crank bait in about 30 feet of water. Otherwise the fishing was really slow. The kids had a good time swimming in the water, and we're thinking of going back this weekend and camping overnight.
Does anyone have any experience with the availability of camp sites at Cottonwood Cove? They're first come first serve, so I'm uncertain what the likelihood of a spot being available is.
