The bass at Salmon Dam have always been plentiful and small, I have caught a 3 lbr once in awhile but never over a 10 lb bag, I believe it's tied to water levels and algae blooms. I've seen banks covered with dead perch and crawdads. Lately there have been largemouth caught up in the headwaters. The populations will level off if we always drop the big girls back in the pond. The only thing native to both these ponds are rainbows, cuts, brookies and bulls. Be careful what you wish for, the "educated" douchebags are way into native restoration, just be thankful they haven't noticed we have been enjoying ourselves. How many wolves were here 200 years ago?
