][crazy] Seriously? Are you actually scolding me?[crazy]
"If you hate a lake, I think that is a sign.... Maybe you should find another hobby or just learn to enjoy the fresh air and solitude. There is a lot more to fishing than catching."
The "hate" is
in cheek, I did enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and I don't need a new hobby. Thanks for the cliche; I had almost forgotten there is more to fishing than catching.[
] I am pleased for you, that you don't get frustrated, but I did, so I posted. When was the last time you actually, truly went a dozen trips without a fish? It gets old.
I try Strawberry at least a couple times a year, because the potential is there for a great day, and I hear of people catching dozens of big trout a day. Sounds fun! But, despite lots of advice, money invested, and all the support and "hotspotting" BFT has to offer, I have NEVER caught more than ONE slot cutt in a trip. Fifteen times in a row! I ain't crying, but I do feel like mentioning it as kind of a self- depricating, "ain't that something?"
I mean, come on, if that doesn't deserve a good natured little grumble, I don't know what does.[:p]
I haven't fished since early Feb., and the $30.00 I spent on gas might be the only cash in a month that is mine to do as I please with. I might not get out fishing again for weeks since I work three jobs. (probably will) Let me gripe my tiny little gripe, and commiserate along as a fellow angler who has tasted the skunk yourself. Not hurting anybody.
Last time I griped on this site was when I was trying to learn icefishing, and got skunked twelve times running. How could you not?
Would I go again tomorrow? Yep! Just isn't all full stringers and tight lines out there, so I thought I'd pay a little homage to my reality.
Now, golf? That's another layer of griping, I've heard.
