Looks like a good weekend. I've caught some pretty good sized fish out of thistle. Luckily for me I know quite a few folks up in that area, so I've gotten to fish alot of the private land.
There's also a private pond in that area that, again luckily, I know the owners of. It's between Birdseye and Fairfiew, about 3-4 miles past that little white church on the west side of the road. There's a huge house, then also what looks like another big house to the north of it about a hundred yards with a green roof (it's actually just a workshop), and the pond is right off the side of the road, I'm sure you've seen it. Anyways it's full of big browns. I've never caught one smaller than 16 inches, and caught plenty between 22-26 inches. Heaven.
