The problem with the reel-seat was because I didn't check that it was still tight after I had done some brush beating through the willows. Of course when it dropped it immediately washed into a nice deep hole. I could have pulled it up by pulling all the line and backing out, but that was sure to get tangled down the stream. So I opted to work it as close as I could and then was able to hook it on my net, but I had to reach with about half of me leaning in the water. The air was blue around me, but my, it was Refreshing!! [laugh] [laugh]
The line I am using is a SA weight forward floating 3wt. I like how the rod casts, but I have only used it on small streams with short casts. It is a fun rod. I ought to try it on some bluegills too.
