Was down there yesterday 7/10 and we do fish that pond quit a bit. Fishing was very slow for us as we normally just troll, needlefish, or Repalas on leaded line. Earlier in the year we pound them, but not the other day. the water temp was 69, watch the wind reports before you head out. Talked to some bait fishermen and they some got into them using power bait around the Eagles Nest. The north end of the lake is starting to turn or the storms have really loosened of the weeds, couldn't hardly troll without catching a bunch of it. The south end was trollable but again very very slow. Your best bet would be to anchor up over any fish you find on your finder and toss out the ole power bait . Lunching your boat will be no problem, at the south state park end. Always a chance of a hog or two down there so good luck. Here's a pic of what you can expect on a good day [sly]
