We trolled around about a week ago with the original count down rapalas in brown trout color. We only had a couple of hours but we managed 4 or 5. I also caught one on a deep diving shad rap in blue. The middle of the day is a tad slower but I would put money down that you will be able to catch some fish the morning of the event. You always seem to have luck on your side when you are helping someone out.
I recently installed downriggers and that made a world of difference! I had a great night last night.
Like was said, the east side along the shoreline from the opening of the narrows, north to that next little cove/bay (I forget the name of it) seems to be a popular producing spot. I have also found some from hawes point back towards renegade...shhh, that is secret classified information [
