Jake right away put his request in for a“large fish”. I responded by asking if aShark would be sufficient, and he replied, before I could finish the sentence,YES. [/font][/size]

[size 3][font "Times New Roman"]Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock at BahiaMar, lines were in the water at the sea buoy located in 120 ft. of water, lessthan 2 miles off shore of Fort Lauderdale FL. We started off trolling with two plainers down, one with a 3 ½ bluereflector drone spoon, which is my favorite, and the other with a blue andpurple sea witch in front of a double hook Bonito strip. For surface baits we had two Ballyhoos andtwo Bonito strips. I kept working thereefs and everyone took turns catching fish - a total of 10 Bonitos ranging from 6-17 lbs. The plainer rod bent over and screamed offthe line – I knew this would be a nice fish. Steve Taylor was the angler and he played a tug of war with thefish. Thirty feet from the boat I couldsee the fish flashing his colors down deep. Steve reeled the fish in and Jackson, our mate, gaffed a 29 lb. AnacondaKingfish, which is a dangerous fish due to his razor sharp teeth. [/font][/size]

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]With plenty of fish in the fish box, it was time to go andfind Jake’s request for a Shark. Iheaded out to the Shark grounds in 400 ft. of water. We put out one surface Shark bait, one midrangeShark bait and one bottom Shark bait, while all the boys sat in the cockpitcalling the fish, “Here fishy, fishy.” With twenty minutes left in our fishing time, wondering if I should makea move and try another location, the bottom rod bent over!!!! Jake hopped into the fighting share to dobattle with the unknown specie. Fortyminutes later, the dorsal fin broke the surface belonging to a Bull Shark,estimated weight 225 lbs. Jake did afantastic job bringing the Shark to the side of the boat, while pictures weretaken, and the Shark was ultimately released to fight again.[/size][/font]
