I thought you were done. The Wildlife Board meeting is in Salt Lake. There ya go. It is basically the master RAC. The culmination of the RAC process.
[#0000FF]Sorry but you are over-simplifying the RAC process. It begins with everybody making suggestions and proposals...and discussing them...at the earlier meetings. Then the biologists and others have a few months to apply the results of their studies and observations to those proposals. In the September meetings the RAC members vote on those proposals and formulate the recommendations they will make to the board in December. The board is not there to hear new proposals from the angling public...but to act upon the proposals from DWR and the RAC members.

Bottom line...if you want to introduce potential changes to the regulations you need to start the process earlier than the board meeting in December.

And, as SOME of us will verify, there are VERY FEW people from Salt Lake attending any of the REMOTE meetings.

And, DWR does encourage as many people as possible to attend. That gives a broader base of ideas and opinions. They cannot function in a vacuum or make meaningful changes if there are no representatives from the sides for and against any potential new regulations...or changes. So it IS a game of numbers. And it simply does not make sense to anyone trained in basic logic to arbitrarily reduce attendance at RAC meetings by holding them in places remote from the largest population bases. That's where the most anglers live.

I'm done...for real.
