I just don't know what I'm doing wrong...I get a lot of tugs on my line but they only last for a second or two and when I pull back with or without reeling I get a empty feel.
Could these tugs be something else? Like the lake bottom since I'm not to far from the shore?
I caught another white perch today and the feel when the fish is actually hooked when I reel in feel like night and day to the tugs. When the fish is hooked it's as if the fish is darting off, the tugs feel like the fish is playing tug of war with my rod.
