I went to Lindon to smash some Carp a few days ago and had a blast. Nothing too impressive until I had a major tug right after I decided to switch things up and maybe snag a LMB (ya right). This guy fought like a tail-hooked carp and took me 20+ minutes to get in on a 5 weight. How cool to see this guy finally pop up:
Black/Chartreuse Larva Lace woven wooly bugger. I've caught more LMB, SMB, Carp and now Channel Cats on that fly than any other fly this year. 22".
After that, I decided I needed to start putting some panfish into the contest. I found a little feeder stream into the lake and man, it was packed with Bluegill, Sunfish, and some hog LMB (that gave me the middle fin on every attempt):
8.5" Gill. I actually caught bigger, but my tape and phone were too far away from where I was fishing, and I was too lazy to walk over and get them. Here are a few of the others to come out:
