This is what you are missing. Tons of small bass. That means too many bass. That means not enough predation. That means stunting. That means that something needs to eat more bass to provide the remaining bass room to grow larger. It all goes back to the number of jellybeans you can put in a jar. Tons of small jellybeans, or a few large jellybeans.
I've heard this numerous times in this very thread. Lots of small bass. Lot's of small bass. Lot's of small bass. Where are the big bass? they aren't there because there are too damn many small bass!! Reduce the number of the small bass, and you'll increase the average size of all bass. How do you reduce the number of bass?? Two options:
1. Remove the water.
2. Add a predator that will prey on bass. Sounds like maybe there weren't enough tm's in Newton.
