Well, they CAN'T just go move the fish. That's the law. Now as far as crystal balls and predicting the weather, when are we going to have enough water in Newton (or any other reservoir) to be able to plant fish and KNOW that there won't be a shortage? Is next year gonna be better? Drier? How about the snowpack? Will it be a dry summer next year? Or will it be cool and wet. 'Cause if it's cool and wet you won't need as much water on the crops.... Oh, wait, what was I thinking? It doesn't matter whether they need it or not. If it's their turn to water, they water.
Maybe they should have known two years ago that the summer of '13 was gonna be the summer that Newton went dry. Then they could have avoided planting anything in there for the last 2 years. Heck, maybe they should have known 3 years ago.
