Exactly! That is why this low water is probably a good thing (partial fish kill helps reduce the population of pan fish)...it is also why TMs were stocked in the first place--to, hopefully, find a better balance by decreasing some of the other species. At this point, the DWR really only has a couple of choices regarding the management at Newton: 1) let the bass, bluegill, crappie, and perch stunt and multiply to the point where their growth rates are so slow that you have no large fish or 2) stock some predators in the reservoir in hopes of reducing or limiting the bass and panfish and create a better fishery.
