Haha, well said. Everybody wins. I don't post a lot on here, so I try to limit it to things I actually know something about.
I wasn't trying to convince anyone to break the law or anything, but if I was to plan a trip, the possibility of "accidentally" catching a chinook or a coho would certainly play into that decision. I never doubted findfish's knowledge of the regs, or the "spirit" of his original post about "targetting" chinook. That's his backyard, and I read the myrtle post the day he put it up.
If you don't have enough money left to hit Vegas, maybe you should PM fly fisher and tell him how to accidentally catch his first coho on the Clearwater. A lot of people have made a lot of casts on the clw and never caught one of those. Karma is worth a million bucks to me. Not doubting your skill or anything. I been here long enough to know better than to do that, but even at one's best, it takes a little of both right?
Oh, and I'm all in on the keyboard statement. I am always trying to convince folks to just call when they are spending all day to text a conversation that could be accomplished in <5 via voice! Not to mention all the misunderstandings that usually occur in text conversations.
