Chesterfield is capped..
#1
Staying in Lava for a couple days with the old ball and chain. Threw in a couple of rods and just figured we'd pull down the boat ramp and dunk a worm while we sat in the car with the heat on, maybe jump out and throw some hardware in short bursts. I was a good plan but when we got to the lake at about 7 the whole thing had a solid skim. Put my foot thru and tossed a couple rocks, looked to be a fairly consistent inch thick. The geese were gathered around a spot on far shore so there may have been an open spot and with a little sun and wind who knows but it doesn't really look like it's coming off.

As long as we were out there we drove up to 24 mile which was capped as well.

Still hoping for a spot to do a little fishing this afternoon or in the morning. I don't really care what we catch but I didn't bring any fly gear or waders. Never fished Alexander but I think it's close?

We might take a drive after a soak in the pools and see if we can find some open water. Any tips in where go try are appreciated.

Thanks
