Ice fishing set up
#8
I already have two rods but find that fishing with just a bobber and a hand-line I can catch just as many fish. I just attached the clip weight to my jig and send it to the bottom, hook on the bobber and set it just below the water surface - pull the jig and remove the clip-on weight and put the jig back down - Now I KNOW I'm fishing 3" to 4" off the bottom and I'm ready for BOBBER DOWN.... This way I can use my hand and bounced the bobber to give the jig great action...

Poles are for my kids and newbees - even though with a bobber stop you get the same accurracy and you get to use your pole - but fighting a big one with your hands is My Kinda Fun - gets your blood flowing to fight off the cold.
