Auger drill assemdly recovery ideas??

success! four sections of PVC pin to gether with a double hook on the end and a little luck. stuck at it for 2 hours almost gave up then finally did hook. thanks for all the suggestions especially to wiper Mac for taking the time to help yesterday. this is the part of the forum that I love so many people willing to help out others. now I have a contraption for anyone else that finds himself in a similar dilemma :-)
