O.K., sometimes I can be stupid but with such a good day yesterday I just had to try it. There was only one other fool that had lauched there when I got to the landing.

Wind blowing 90 miles an hour. The temp just barely hit 40. Never did hit 40 taking in the wind chill factor. But at 2:00 today I got done with all I had to do today for work. The lake was calling me and my mind kept wondering if those bass I had found would still be there. I got to the lake at 2:30 but had to leave at 4:30. Two hours to try and see what I could do. Waves were a little rough and as long as I cast with the wind I had no issue. If you cast against the wind it was like a back lash every cast. Doing the same pattern I used yesterday I started slow rolling the rig deep just off the bottom. I was in about 15 foot and managed five bites I know of in the two hour trip. One took half of one of my swim baits with it but never got the hook that I could tell. Two others I hooked, they felt good, reeled them a few feet and they just came unbuttoned. The other two did make it into the boat. One was a long skinny keeper that would have gone about 2 and a quarter pounds, the other was a nice fat 3 and a half pounder. Not a great outing but for only two hours in the winter I will take it.

With another cold front moving in the fish may be shutting down again. emoBang I am sure ready for spring to get here. emoSmile
