[#0000FF]I am well aware of the basic problems contributing to the policies and deficiencies at Willard...and elsewhere. I concur with your statements on the fish cleaning stations. Most of the problem is with stupid operators...not the State Parks. No matter how clearly they post the instructions for use there are dimbulbs who try to prove the grinders will work AFTER THEY HAVE ALREADY FILLED THEM UP. Just as bad are the guys who leave the whole basin area full of fish leavings...rather than carting them off in a garbage bag or otherwise disposing of them. See the pic below.
Also sensitive to the restroom issues. But I have fished Willard going back to the 70s and can remember being able to fillet fish well into the cold months...and being able to enjoy the heated restrooms for changing into and out of ice fishing gear during the winter...at both marinas. It is more difficult to give up privileges once enjoyed than to weep and wail for privileges not yet granted. Oh yeah, that was back in the day when the daily use fee was only about $3...or less. Annual pass was only about $20.
