Yote, I try lots of colors, but I have caught them on white/yellow combo, a chartrus one and mostly light to bright colors only caught five or six or jigs so far... Really the worm harness is my best producer of fish so far....
As far as the where to look on Cutler/Bear I struggle on that, I haven't found the spot oviously... I suspect that they move away from the pond or to a spot I haven't checked yet. It seems like I never see the toothy critters until April / May timeframe... I have tried the rocky exposed to wind type areas and never had a bite... Looked for inlet type staging areas and must not be looking at the right ones because again I've never had a hit or seen any fish in those areas on the graph... Mostly I'm just learning this spring thing... New finder this year, so I look forward to trying it and seeing if it shows me any new info... Guess I need more time on the pond to do research... This is probably just the second season I have tried to find the spring eyes so I'm still pretty new at it... Hope to learn the game a little better this year... Think I may try Willard where the eyes are a little easier to find.. Seems like Cutler doesn't have higher numbers of walleyes like Willard or Oneida does, even though it does have some big fish they are rare finds I suspect..
I believe the boat ramps are open on Cutler, but I haven't been down to check for sure... I know the ice is gone on most of the pond, so I think they should be fine to launch. I will try and check later today... Jeff
