Willard/Deer Creek early walleye techniques

Those that come in backwards are a lot of fun though. Tail hooked an 8 lb walleye once in the middle of the summer. Couldn't believe a walleye that actually fought. Fish was released like 90% of the other fish I catch. Only a hole in the tail. This post was not to make light of the snagging issue, it totally drives me nuts when its not a fair catch, but I also have issues with people keeping buckets of fish too. But that's my personal issue I know its legal even if it ruins the fishing in those spots. Off my soap box. Later J
