Interesting I too converted to the cataholic religion. You won't find me out with out very stout beefy rods/reels spooled with 50lb braided line. I know what kind of battle those monsters bring... If you can't get them off the bottom your chances of land them becomes rather slim on the snag infested river... Reminds me of a time chugg battled what was surely a 20+ lber we chased that fish several hundred yards in the boat for nearly 10 minutes... Before suddenly it turned into a snag.... He ended up landing a 25lb waggon wheel... Heart braker for sure... Many of us have stories like this... A little luck is always a factor in catfishin
