Walleye are not native to Utah or the Colorado River drainage, and according to the textbook "Fishes of the Great Basin" by Sigler and Sigler, walleye were first introduced to the state in 1951. They were in the Colorado River when Lake Powell was impounded (1966) and quickly took up residence. Here's a link to a USGS fact page that shows a map of the native and introduced range of walleye.
