When it fishes that slow this time of year I always abandon it for a try at Thistle.
Despite DF being spotty I always hit it first. I use tungsten BH nymphs but do whatever it takes to get that nymph down low. If you're not bouncing over rocks at the bottom in the deeper holes you're too high. Try a large (size 10 or larger) flashy prince nymph next time. It was always outproduces any other nymph for me there except when stones and salmonflies are coming off when it holds it's own. I've only had 1 descent afternoon there in my 3 outings in the past month but that is par for course.
