HATH difference between SS and aluminum is that aluminium tends to "flex" at higher rpm. As it flexes, the pitch can change. If you are already close to the max performance capability of the prop you have, when it flexes it drops below the correct pitch you may need. SS props are spendy that's for sure. If you are looking for speed from your boat, SS is the way to go. If you are only ever puttering around fishin, like me, then speed isn't an issue, and the lighter weight and lower cost of aluminum is the ticket.
