I observed what seemed like acres of carp last year on Willard one morning, all slurping eagerly at the green algae skim on the surface. Sounded like a herd of cows walking through mud, I swear. They were so engrossed that I was able to actually bump several of them with my very silent kayak. Boyo did that cause a depth charge reaction!
This was well after the frisky frolics had ended, so it could have only been a feeding activity.
