mono vs fluoro tippets/leaders

I to had the same experience with vanish. Seemed to work great first time out then got brittle and would fail in the weirdest places. This year I've been using 2 lb dia braid and love it. Have a few poles with 8 lb mono and now that's like fishing with rope. Haven't had to use a leader yet even with senkos. We'll see what the summer brings. I use mostly spinning equipment.
