Wipers on Flies?

I have not caught any wipers at Willard Bay but I have on Huntington North Reservoir. I use a six weight rod with a fast sinking (#7) line with a 15 lb. tapered leader and an 12 lb. tippet. For flies I use size 4-8 olive leeches and size 4-8 tan/green crystal buggers. Most of the ones that I have caught have been down 20' - 25' but I know Willard Bay is not very deep. You probably only need a #2 or #3 line for up there. I'm not sure about the water clarity at Willard but that might be a reason why some folks have a hard time with fly tackle there. If the fish can't see very far in the water you have to get it close or give the fly some erratic movement to get there attention. They are a great sport fish and not bad eating either.
