Took a drive up Mirror Lake Highway this afternoon to take a look not actually expecting to fish any lake. First turn off I headed for Alexander and as expected I hit a 3 foot drift half way in. Next try Murdock Basin. Didn't even make it to that big parking lot area with the Creek going by. Snow and mud also a couple miles in. Next was a lake further up that tends to ice off early with easy access. Found 50 yards of open shore that extended out maybe 30ft. Fished for probable 90 minutes but only managed 2 bites and that was with 2 rods. Didn't hook either. I didn't expect to get a rod out so can't complain. Had my 2 dogs including the one that turns 16 next month so I didn't drag the old girl through feet of snow from the highway to look at Trial. Trial typically will start to come off about a week later than the one I fished. It looked like plenty of people were walking in so who knows maybe it's coming off as well.
The Provo River main channel was totally blown out until about 20 miles up from Kamas.
