Bass are done spawning which means they won't be nearly as shallow as summer progresses. Bluegills are still spawning a bit but the major initial spawn was done a week ago. This season some of the pre spawn gills were huge! Had plenty of 10 in and 1 lb in weight. There is no shortage of fish in there. It was every cast. But yeah summer's here, good fishing is over for the most part. Sure you can catch dink 8 in bass and 3 in gills from the west bank all summer, but now is down time for me.
