BFT Traveling Fly Box

I have been able to go out a few times. I mostly fish lakes or chase carp this time of year so it went out a couple times doing that. I don't usually fly fish when going for trout on a lake but I got a set up with sinking line which I felt needed to go out this weekend. The box or the change from spinning gear to fly gear didn't bring any more luck than I usually have on Palies. I actually didn't think it would but at least I know better than to blame it on the box. Also took a day to chase carp on Blackfoot and paddled and paddled but only got a few casts in. Wind came up which wasn't bad but it wasn't ideal for carp chasing. Hope to get back another time for that. The box spent two of the best days of the year so far on the water and the 4th of July but still skunked after a few times out with me.
Heading up near Stanley this week so will be fishing for Salmon but plan on going after trout a couple times. Definitely perfect place for the box on the Wood River or upper Salmon or possibly one of the high lakes there. Definitely find a place to float something.

Oh yes, an anchor would have been handy the other day when windy but darn if I didn't leave it at home. I hope I don't forget it.
