Drain on my main boat motor battery

Well I finally got a chance to test out the boat after installing the Perko switch. I'm not sure what the problem is now but it won't start. I cranked it and it started but it didn't want to run right, then it wouldn't even crank, finally, after it set for a few minutes it started and I ran it for a few minutes and shut it off as I went to my trolling motor. At the end of our day, I went to start it and all it would do is crank, it never did fire even once. I went ahead and loaded it onto my trailer using my kicker motor. I think I'm going to try it one more time and if it doesn't start, I'm going to hook it up the same way it was before installing the Perko switch. Anyone got any ideas?
