Urban Fishing - Boise River
#21
Don't you guys know who Whitefish Ed is? Ed has been a fixture of flyfishing websites for many years. Ed is an internet expert who is well known around Silver Creek and the Railroad Ranch section of the Henry's for being so attention starved that he fishes in day-glo pink jackets, tiedyes, and other gaudy clothes. He's mostly expert at fishing famous places that have very easy road or short trail access. Once, he tried fishing the Teton , in the middle of a hot summer day, right next to the boat ramp access, with people playing around him. Mystifyingly, he couldn't catch fish within sight of his van so he quit and ran to the internet to post a lengthy rant about how the Teton just plain sucks. That's Ed for you, though, so opinionated that he can fish a few hundred feet of a 75 mile long river and be able to tell you everything about the other 74.9 miles. Personally, I doubt there is an easier river around here to catch trout in than the Teton, so...so much for his own "expert" status. If I had to sum it up, I'd say Ed's schtick is "I celebrate the great nobility of the trout and, thereby, my own inherent nobility in fishing for trout." He's used to being the center of attention. Enjoy playing with Ed.....
