I think a 25 HP would really cut down on your run time and get you to the fishing spot [
] I used to run a 15 hp on a 16 foot V bottom and it would come up and plane with 3 people in it. I wouldn`t go smaller than a 9.9. If you ever buy a bigger boat it will also work on it.. Good luck... Fishon
