Urban Fishing - Boise River
#54
I know, I don't contribute a ton to this site but I am grateful for many of you that do. My problem with whitefish was his attacking style of criticism towards others. He had no reason to attack someone else about some advice they were giving. Especially, on an internet help site for fishing. I doubt that kind of approach would be made if we were all standing face to face. No one needs to be a punk to anyone on a volunteer info site. I thought you were too nice and gave too many warnings.

On a side note took out my mechanic (I own a car lot) out to Lowell yesterday. Very windy caught a dozen. My boat is to small to stay in one spot in that kind of wind and waves so the only thing to do was troll (which I feel a little dirty doing for bass). Caught one huge Crappie not sure on weight but seemed close to two or more lbs. Biggest one I have ever seen or caught. On a bad note, lost my rod and reel in the lake. Shot right out of the boat and couldn't find it. So, if any of you find a Cabelas rod with a Lew"s MG reel let me know. It's about 100 yards right before you get to the first cement blocks by GOTS.

Almost all the fish except the crappie were very skinny. Not sure what that means but I know the perch are far and few between and other bait fish. I know some on here will disagree and I know fish go on cycles but I really feel like Lowell had to many Perch taken out Ice fishing. I saw to many taking out, buckets full of them two years ago and now we will start seeing the affects on the bass. Two years ago you could hardly through out anything with out Perch taking a swipe at it and this year nothing. Not sure whats up just my perception.
Firetiger seemed to work the best.
