We did go. I was going to try for some bluegill/sunfish with one pole and bass with the other. First cast in and I had a 9" smallmouth on my marshmallow as soon as I set it down. My friend caught a tiny bass, a 19" sucker, and then an 11" bass on some of the sucker meat, and I lost another about he same size.
So we had a good time. Helps that he caught a few so he'll want to get out fishing more and will be willing to go back to swan. Someone took a boat out at the upper ramp, they had the road to it smoothed, but there is still construction going on, so they may have made it usable for the weekend and will get back to work again in the morning and move the sign back into the road.
