Don't overcomplicate your leader for streamers. For example, if I'm throwing big junk, I use a sinktip line such as a Rio Streamertip with about 4 feet of 15 lb hard mono and a loop knot. Works well for trout and bass and turns over big streamers easily. Additionally, it allows me to horse fish away from cover. I use a minimum of a 7wt though as it gives me more punch and lifting power.
