Do it man, you'll be happy you did. If time is short, I wouldn't even worry about getting the tube out. 95% of my days on the water are walking the shoreline and I do just as well as when I'm in my boat. I get slightly bigger fish in the boat, but less quantity -- that being said, I've caught plenty of big fish from the shore also.
