AWESOME ALASKA
#8
On average this trip will run you 3500 depending on several things, you can catch a limit every day and the fish is brought home by you in special freezer boxes, you just have to check them as extra baggage and each box has a charge. The charge for the boxes depends on what airline you use, there all different. I use alaskaair and their prices seem to be the cheapest. I brought home 3 boxes of fish and each box cost 20 dollars for the first 3 and 50 dollars for each box thereafter. Between airfare, luggage, tips, hotels, suvieners, guided, unguided, etc, etc, your trip can very from 1800 to 5000. It all depends on what you want to do and for how long and if you want someone to do all the work for you or want to do most of it yourself. I have been to alaska 8 times now and have tried several different outfitters and there is so much to consider went doing a trip like this that you really need to do your homework to meet your budget. A great way to find out a lot about it is to go to the outdoor expo in Salt Lake City and talk to all the different outfitters their, also do a lot of research on the internet. I know it sounds like a lot of work but its not hard and the end result is well worth it.
