Decided to brave the cold and see if it had fired the fish up any. The short answer is no it didn't.
We put in at Woltever and started close around 9a.m. Caught a nice 3 pounder about 30 minutes in and another short one a few minutes later, both on a square bill on grass edges. Had a nice blow up on a frog but it escaped after a too short fight. Went out to the channel and fought the wind and boat traffic with little to show. Cliff finally managed to boat a chunky 2 lber on a spinner bait. The bed that they were in last week was barren so we eased back into a pocket, out of the wind and I had 2 blow ups and managed to boat one, a fat 15 incher. Tried a lot of stuff but only managed to boat 6 fish on 10 bites.
It has to get better!
