[#0000FF]Giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, he may have even wangled a special "dispensation" to leave his truck there for a short time. I'd hate to think he did that only because he realizes that the rangers are not patrolling heavily these days and that he could probably get away with it.
Haven't seen actual humans in the toll gate booths at many state park waters this year. And I know of a couple of instances in which folks forgot to display their park passes or mussel certificates...and did not get checked and/or cited.
I guess I could have made a "citizen's arrest" or something like that. But then that would have ruined my story and lessened the sympathy I got out of it.
Quick question. What was the water temp like on your last trip to Mammoth?
