Managed to fill my control cow tag (my first) and shot this decent 5x5 last monday...

I was on a small section of public land near a lot of private land. I just sat down and got set up and heard, then saw a group of elk running through the thick oaks. Managed to call them into a clearing with a cow call and this bull was following. Got the cow in the same area. Don't think I got a picture of the cow. Had to get a lot of help from friends. I've been busy keeping the meat cold in a friends garage while we cut it all up. Its been a lot of work but well worth it.
