You left out the trillions in cost from the Iraq war that made an Islamic State possible. You also left out that freebie for seniors- Part D Medicare- also about a trillion in debt total so far. It's too early to know but the Affordable Care Act is also projected to be in the trillion dollar range over 10 years - so the poor are getting a freebie every bit as expensive as the senior gimme. If you want either of the last 2 programs why didn't we try to finance them ahead of time instead of just throwing extra trillions on the debt? Yes the next president will have these huge debts to deal with from Obama and Bush. If you stop and think about it they'll still be paying interest on Reagan's trillion plus debt as well. You can't stop a runaway train on a dime. Worse case scenario would be Reagan Voodoo economics type (spend, spend, spend on the credit card) as the next President and these debts will seem like chump change.
