Ya i'm pretty sure all their other reels are machined aluminum stock, whereas this reel is cast aluminum, but with the same drag system. We will see how it does. I have an old Okuma Sierra that I can't wear out, it kind of wore its welcome out, and is far from a high end reel . I think these Lamson's will do well .
