I've never broken 10 Lbs. Last year I had a 9.14 & a 9.15., but not 10Lbs! emoBang I thought today was the day! Got out for a quick trip today about 3:00. found some bait but fish that wouldn't touch anything. Couldn't get them worked up with Hydro-Wave or nothing! I tried all baits & all calls. Had the bait flickering on top of the water but no X's on the graph. Threw the Hydro-Wave that I got from DJ's On Line Marine on frenzy-craw & trolled out of slue. Hit the outer point & 3rd cast, bait never hit the bottom. Took up slack & delivered the Bad News! :o I thought @ first it was a drum & when she rolled beside the boat I almost swallowed my dip!!! She bull dogged pretty good for a while & made 3-4 good runs but I had backed the drag off so she had no place to go but in the net. After 3 missed tries that is! ( May-be I should give my partner more credit) emoLaugh Heart was beating & hands were shaking so bad that after 2 more cast I realized I was finished for the day!!! I called my buddy with the scales Azel( Spiner-Bait ) Burrows & was going to meet back @ the dock to weigh her. She came in @ 9.13oz.!! emoBang 3 oz's shy of 10 Lbs! but a great fish & was wonderful to watch her swim off. Pic. coming. Thanks Azel for waiting & letting me use your scales. Fish came off of a wind blown rocky point in 6-10 ft. of water. Temp 45.4 lightly stained.
