Took mine out to Provo Bay yesterday on UL. It's funny watching the simulation on the app that gives you like 20+ feet average depth, and then throwing it in the water around the docks to see about 5.5" average depth 
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the things was seeing schools of crappie around the docks, because they were suspended a few feet off the bottom. But they didn't want my gulp spikes. Probably has something to do with the water temperature (39° when I was there yesterday). Interestingly there is just absolutely nothing away from the docks. No vegetation, no fish, nothing. Just 5-6' of water all the way through the rest of the bay.
Did get a nice photo from the trip though.
