Breakdown of boat registration fees
#7
Talked to like 3 different dmv agents on the phone told me the same price. Might be a little more expensive here in sat lake country.
[#800000]Each County gets the 'Uniform Fee' which is in lieu of property tax. Every County gets the same amount of money. I firmly believe that the agents you talked to on the phone are keying in on the 'inflatable' and using the 'Collapsible Inflatable Vessel' table and the minimum fee from that table is $15. However, to use that table, the vessel must be at least 15 ft long. Yours is clearly not.[/#800000]

[/#800000] [#800000]Again, I would print out the tables from the link I gave you, go in person to a DMV office, and make them show you why the 'Vessels less than 15 feet in length' doesn't apply to your vessel.[/#800000]

[#800000]If you talk to an agent on the phone again, you should ask them which 'Uniform Fee' table they are basing the quoted rate on and make sure it isn't the Collapsible Inflatable Vessel table.[/#800000]
