It was eventually great yesterday! Only 1 fish from 9-11:30am. However from 11:30am-2:00pm is was on fire! It was nuts, the fog lifted then fish all around us started feeding,,,we would see a swirl/tail and then cast in that direction. We were in 10 fow, just SW of wild rose, approx 200 yards from shore. Color didn't seem to matter. Caught a couple on black/gren leech then we all started throwing spinners-that was the ticket! For almost 3 hours it was rare to go more than three casts without a hit! There was little wind so we just turned off the boat and slowly drifted. Landed around 50 I believe. 7 hybrids, the rest cutts. Largest 3 were 22" and all the rest 18-21".
We launched out of the state marina and fly fisherman were doing well on the cutts in the shallows. They were using both patterns of stripping leaches and fishing small chrnomids or egg patterns with indicator. Get up there if you can! One of the best things for us yesterday was only 2 other boats on the water!
